SouthWestSensor Ltd launching new phosphate monitoring probes
Date: 10 October 2023
Location: Southampton, UK
SouthWestSensor Ltd ('SWS'), a UK based provider of advanced water quality monitoring solutions aimed at improving efficiencies across the whole water cycle to promote sustainability and protect the environment, has launched a new turn-key solution for phosphate monitoring.
'Phosphate pollution in our rivers and lakes is in the news constantly, as it causes so much damage including algal growth and fish death. To tackle this calls for efficient monitoring equipment to identify pollution sources, guide investment decisions, monitor the effectiveness of remedial measures such as wetlands, and support nutrient-trading schemes to unlock housing developments.
We are very encouraged by the strong commercial demand we are seeing for our phosphate sensors which are battery operated and come with telemetry for remote monitoring. We are currently ramping up production to meet current and future demand.' Dr Oliver Hofmann, SWS CEO.
